Transfiguration Sunday
Sermon excerpt: Listen! God has created you. God has put a divine light within you. You may not sense that it is there, but others can see it in your face. When you begin to perceive its glow, you may want to hide it under a bushel. It makes the world look strange and new. Trust the light and the new vision it brings. In the small kernel of a God-given dream, a new world is waiting to be born. Take courage, God is shining in the faces all around you. The glory of God shines in you, with you, and through you. Look and listen, and God will light the way. Amen.
